The first couple to buy a new home at David Wilson Homes' new development in Sapcote have also become the first family to welcome a newborn baby to the new community.

Barney and Laura Millen, both originally from Lutterworth, moved into their brand new four bedroom home Ashtree home at Sapcote Lea in June, while Laura was expecting, and August saw the arrival of baby Arthur.

The couple decided to sell their old property in Lutterworth and buy a brand new home when they realised their ageing home needed too many improvements to make it worthwhile staying there.

“We first considered going with David Wilson Homes when we paid a visit to one of their Ashtree show homes at The Greens in Hinckley,” said 36-year-old Manufacturing Manager Barney. “Laura and I loved its quirky shape; it wasn't like most new-build properties.

“We were the first to reserve a new home at the new development, and one of the first to move in, and Laura has found plenty of local groups to join which offer activities for babies and toddlers, so it's just perfect here.”
