A family said their move to a brand new house at Barratt's Homes' Darwin's Walk development in Shrewsbury was quick and easy thanks to the developer's Part Exchange scheme.
Matthew (38) and Janine (43) Boswell and their two children Ella (14) and Jack (12) have moved from a 150 year old three bedroom end terrace house to a brand new four bedroom detached house at Darwin's Walk on Radbrook Road.
Matthew, a Business Development Director, said, “We found the move very straight forward. Using the part exchange scheme made everything surprisingly easy and stress free – from our decision to move through to contract completion day took just five weeks.”
With Part Exchange, Barratt arranges for the buyer's property to be inspected by three independent valuers and makes a fair offer based on the average of the three valuations. All the purchaser needs to do is agree the price and reserve their new Barratt home.
Matthew commented, “The deciding factor when buying our new home was the value for money and the location of the development. We now live in a beautiful area and the best thing is the fact that we can either be in the countryside within five minutes or the town centre within 15 minutes.
“Also the sales advisers at Darwin's Walk were first class and were always there to help, making the decision to move to the development a very easy one for us.”
Janine, a Customer Service Officer, added, “We were looking to move to a brand new home so were thrilled when we came across Darwin's Walk. It just felt like the right place for us and the house suits the needs of our family far better than a pre-owned home could. We wanted a property that we could stamp our mark on and design it entirely to our own tastes and we have definitely found that at Darwin's Walk.”
Lucy Turner, Sales Manager at Barratt Homes West Midlands, said, “We are delighted to welcome the Boswell family to Darwin's Walk and hope they will be happy here for a long time to come.
“As with a number of our residents, they took advantage of the popular Part Exchange scheme which relieves the stress involved in selling your home and moving house.
“I'd encourage anyone thinking of buying a home in the Shrewsbury area to visit our Sales Centre as we have a wide range of four bedroom homes on sale, perfect for the family, which are all available to buy through the Part Exchange scheme.”
