A new housing development is set to bring investment and a jobs boost to Cannock.

Barratt Homes West Midlands is building 188 homes at The Limes on Limepit Lane and the work will underpin 376 jobs. As well as building new homes, Barratt will also invest more than £176,000 in the local area. The homebuilder will put £100,000 towards open space and this will include funding children's play equipment, extensive landscaping and creating footpaths.

Katie Yates, Sales Manager, and Carl Gough, Site Manager at The Limes, were on site to officially mark the start of work. The Limes is situated on the edge of an area of outstanding natural beauty and the first residents are expected to move in later this year. All 188 homes are due to be completed by June 2020.

Residents at The Limes will also be able to make the most of the great range of shops and restaurants on offer in Cannock.

Homes will be available to buy at The Limes later in the year. Prices for the first three bedroom homes to be released for sale start from £189,950, while prices for the first four bedroom homes start from £229,950.
