Leading developer David Wilson Homes is encouraging home buyers in the East Midlands to attend a Help to Buy roadshow taking place at Nottingham this month.

Representatives from the five-star homebuilder will be present at the event, taking place between 10am and 4pm on Saturday, June 18th at Nottingham Racecourse.

The roadshow will give people the opportunity to learn more about home buying schemes and get financial advice about the home buying process and see the range of new properties on offer in the area.

House builders, mortgage advisers and solicitors will be on hand with information about home buying options throughout the day.

The Help to Buy scheme is a government initiative introduced to give people the boost needed to purchase their own homes. The Help to Buy Equity Loan allows buyers to buy a new home with a 5% deposit and a 75% mortgage, the remaining 20% is covered by a loan from the government, which is interest free for the first five years.

The scheme is open to first time buyers as well as existing homeowners taking their next steps and is eligible on any property under £600,000. It aims to reduce deposit requirements and mortgage costs to help more buyers get a foot on the housing ladder.
