Stunning Torquay Display Home Wins 2016 HIA Western Victoria Regional Home of the Year

HIA - Housing Industry Association

Q Designer Homes have won the 2016 HIA Western Victoria Regional Home of the Year Award, one of the residential construction industry's highest accolades, for their stunning Viridian Torquay Display Home.

The winner was announced tonight at the HIA Western Victoria Regional Housing Awards held at the RACV Torquay Resort, before a crowd of local industry leaders and peers from across the Western Victoria region.

This impressive new home design, incorporates an elegant, distinctive façade with a functional large open plan layout, four spacious bedrooms and separate living area, perfect for kids.

It features an impressive kitchen layout with cafe bar, walk in butler's pantry, study nook with custom built joinery, beautifully appointed master bedroom, ensuite and dressing room that epitomises luxury. The Viridian is truly an amazing home that combines class, design and functionality into the perfect family home.

Externally the materials blend well in the coastal environment with the use of crisp white render and stained cedar. Whilst internally, the home is flooded with natural light.

“This home is an example of up to the minute design and brilliant workmanship,” the judges praised. “It delivers a visual feast and a level of practicality that others should now aspire to.” they added.

A clever floor plan eliminates any wasted space, allowing for generous rooms throughout and ample storage.

With a modern elevation and a seamless connection from the living space to the courtyard, featuring a fireplace and built in BBQ, this display home is definitely not your average home.

Q Designer Homes have installed a feeling of space and opulence that is usually reserved for larger, more expensive homes with the Viridian.

Quality finishes throughout as standard inclusions represent outstanding value.

Equally impressive from the outside, the home delivers on all fronts. Beautifully landscaped gardens, tastefully styled interior and external living areas with practical, useable features.

“It's a pleasure to visit a home that is presented in a completely refined state, with an immediate feeling of comfort, style and luxury on a scale that belies the cost of the build”, the judges added.

HIA Victorian Executive Director Gil King congratulated the team at Q Designer Homes and all Award winners. “Q Designer Homes has shown a genuine desire to impress with new design tweaks and livability features. This home will be hard to walk past for value for money”, Mr. King applauded.

“The HIA Western Victoria Regional Housing Awards this year were again extremely competitive. All winners and finalists should be proud to have reached the heights of building standards demonstrated in these quality homes” said Mr. King.

Q Designer Homes will now go on to compete against other Display Homes from aroundthe state at the 2016 HIA CSR Victoria Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards, to be held in November at Crown Towers in Melbourne.
