- Winners of the PPAs will be announced at a glittering champagne reception on 23 May at Landing Forty Two at the Leadenhall Building, London.
- Property4Media, which acquired the PPAs earlier this year, today revealed the judges line-up on the event's website (www.propertypressawards.com).
Judges for the Property Press Awards 2017 (PPAs) have been announced, featuring 45 industry experts including senior property executives, media editors and industry personalities.
The line-up has been selected from a wide array of industry professionals, and includes four Fellows from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, 10 current or former editors of national publications, 16 heads of property-related companies, seven judges from trade bodies, and several prominent commentators.
Figures from the media include Sir Nicholas Lloyd, former Editor of the Daily Express; Gerri Gallagher, Associate Editor of Tatler; Anne Cuthbertson, Editor of The London Magazine; Giles Kime, Interiors Editor of Country Life; Ian Hyland, TV Critic at Daily Mirror; Jeremy Gates, former Property Editor of the Daily Express; Jo Eccles, property columnist at Metro; Nigel Lewis, former Property Editor at the Daily Mail; Peter Bill, former Editor of Estates Gazette; Rupert Bates, Editorial Director at Globespan Media, and Nick Salmon - Managing Director of Property Industry Eye.
Commentators and senior property figures from the industry include Henry Pryor, Jeremy Leaf, Ray Boulger, Peter Knight, Peter Wetherell, together with Steve Norris – Chairman of Soho Estates, Grainne Gilmore from Knight Frank, Lucy Morton from JLL, Susan Emmett from Savills, Stephanie McMahon from Strutt & Parker and William Carrington of LonRes.
Other well-respected judges have been sourced from property brands including Accouter Group, Black Brick Property Solutions, The Digital Marketing Bureau, Gazeal, Grainger, Hometrack, Integra Property Services, L&C Mortgages, markettiers4dc, Redrow, Rightmove, Yoo and Zoopla along with industry bodies ARLA, National Association of Estate Agents, Building Societies Association, The Design Museum, Association of International Property Professionals, Leasehold Knowledge, National Gardens Scheme, Property Ombudsman and the National Landlords Association.
Up to three judges will determine the winners of each of the 20 individual awards. Almost half the judges are new to this year's awards, while existing judges will be given new categories.

Property brands exhibiting at the Media Marketplace event will benefit from secured places at the Awards.
Entries for the Awards are now closed, with the longlist due to be announced on 28 March 2017 and the shortlist announced on 24 April 2017.
