The UK's largest free school campus has opened at Barking Riverside London, with a capacity for over 2600 pupils. Riverside Campus is shared by three independent schools: Riverside Secondary, Riverside Primary and Riverside Bridge – a Special Educational Needs school. Benefiting from this new educational facility are the residents of Bellway's award-winning Caspian Quarter, part of the huge regeneration scheme at Barking Riverside.
The innovative new school model has excellent shared facilities for the entire school population, thus enabling students with special needs to access the appropriate mainstream resources and lessons. Investing a total of £45 million into the campus, the state of the art facilities include fully equipped science labs, a four court sports hall, an all-weather Astroturf pitch, four multi-use games areas, two dance studios and a remarkable main hall.
Bellway is launching a new phase of homes at Caspian Quarter in January, with Help To Buy London available on some of the apartments. New residents will be able to enjoy use of the facilities at Riverside Campus out of school hours.
Annette Hurst, Divisional Sales Manager at Bellway Homes Essex, comments: “This impressive new educational facility at Barking Riverside spells good news for the residents at Caspian Quarter. Bellway is launching a new phase of homes here, ideal for families and professionals who will be able to take advantage of the new school facilities for sport and education. With the impressive improvements to this area, we would encourage potential buyers to register their interest.”
The award-winning design of new homes includes one and two bedroom apartments, completed with open-plan interiors, integrated kitchen appliances, en suites and fitted wardrobes. A large selection of properties benefit from either balconies or terraces.
Barking town centre offers a wealth of shopping opportunities, with a range of large retailers, independent boutiques and a local market. Further afield, one of the largest shopping centres in Europe, Westfield at Stratford City, includes over 250 shops, over 65 restaurants and a 17-screen Vue Cinema. For leisure, Caspian Quarter provides a great deal of open space for residents, with surrounding towns offering approximately 30 parks, wildlife reserves and country parks across the borough of Barking and Dagenham.
Transport links to London are excellent, with London Overground station offering frequent services to Gospel Oak, Fenchurch Street and Shoeburyness. London Underground services also stop at Barking Station, and regular bus services connect it with Caspian Quarter. Further improvements are scheduled, with the planned extension to Barking Riverside of the London Overground Gospel Oak to Barking Line.
Major roads are easily accessible from the development, with the A13 just a five-minute drive away, linking Caspian Quarter to Canary Wharf in London Docklands with just a 15 minute journey, and London City Airport just 13 minutes away by car.
Prices at Caspian Quarter start from £254,995 for one-bedroom apartments. For further information and to register your interest please visit www.bellway.co.uk or call 020 8594 9709.
