Girlings Retirement Rentals has kicked off the New Year with an initiative that sees several of its retirement rental properties in developments throughout the UK being offered at reduced rents for one year on assured shorthold tenancies. Tenants then have the opportunity to upgrade to an assured tenancy, at a higher rent, at the end of the initial tenancy term.
To qualify, residents must start their tenancy within four weeks of reserving the property or by 28th February 2018 at the latest and be over 55 years old.
Rents start from as little as £450 per calendar month for a one-bedroom apartment at All Saints Court in the thriving market town of Market Weighton in Yorkshire. Other properties include two one-bedroom apartments available for £494 pcm and £525 pcm at Bower House at Upton on the Wirral in Cheshire, a one bedroom apartment for £495 pcm at East Haven in Clacton-on-Sea and a one bedroom apartment available for £550 pcm at Homechester House in Dorchester, Dorset.
The developments all have a resident's lounge and communal gardens, 24- hour emergency call system in each apartment and a development manager.
All these New Year Deal properties are available to rent for one year on an assured shorthold tenancy and include services and property maintenance. They are also available on assured tenancies, which give the tenant absolute peace of mind from knowing that they have security of tenure for life and can live in the property for as long as they wish.
Gillian Girling, Chief Executive of Girlings Retirement Rentals says, “We are delighted to offer a small selection of our properties at a reduced rent for a year. We hope this will enable people who have been thinking about renting this year the opportunity to try out living in a retirement development for the first time or move to a new area.”
“Renting is proving a popular choice for many retirees because it can bring many benefits including the freeing up capital from the sale of a property. Moving into a rental property also takes away the worry and cost of ongoing property and garden maintenance, as this is included the rent.
“There are social benefits too. Most developments have communal areas, where people can get together and enjoy a cup of tea and a chat, plus there are often events and outings organised for residents. We advise people looking to move now to get in touch as this deal offers a great way to try out retirement living at a reduced cost for a year to see if it suits them,” adds Mrs Girling.
There are many other properties available on the reduced rent deal in desirable locations throughout England and Wales. For more information visit www.girlings.co.uk/Pages/new-year-deals
