Home buying in the North West just got more affordable as leading homebuilders Barratt and David Wilson Homes join forces with private landlord heylo.

The scheme, called Home Reach, provides a more affordable way for people to get on the housing ladder across the UK via part-buy and part-rent. The scheme has already helped over 1300 new buyers onto the property ladder since it launched in 2014.

The new partnership means that Barratt Homes Manchester and Barratt and David Wilson Homes North West will be offering part-buy part-rent homes through Home Reach, on 30 developments and 160 properties across Cheshire, Lancashire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester and Staffordshire.  

The Home Reach initiative offers buyers the chance to purchase a share of the property based on the home's value and then pay a low monthly rent on the remaining portion.

David Orchin, Managing Director of Acquisitions at heylo, said: “We are delighted to be working with Barratt and David Wilson Homes in making home ownership more accessible through Home Reach.”

Home Reach is only available on new build properties.
