The Minister of State for Housing, Kit Malthouse MP, was recently welcomed to Barratt Homes' Brooklands development in Milton Keynes for a guided tour of the site.

As part of his visit across Oxfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Buckinghamshire, the Minister was accompanied by Barratt Homes Northampton's Managing Director, Andrew Swindell, Site Manager Paul Neal and Construction Director Chris Carty for a tour of Brooklands.

Also joining Mr Malthouse at the development were Cllr Pete Marland, Leader of Milton Keynes Council, and representatives from Places for People.

The Minister saw the construction progress first-hand and met with the site team seeing inside a completed property, demonstrating the delivery of homes at the development.

Housing Minister, Kit Malthouse MP, said: “The corridor between Cambridge and Oxford is quickly becoming one of most attractive places in England to live and work.

“To maximise this area's economic potential, bringing jobs and growth, it's vital to increase the supply of new homes here.

“Brooklands is a great example of where this important work, to build the homes this country needs, is already underway.”

Upon completion, Brooklands will feature a community of one and two bedroom apartments and three, four and five bedroom houses.
