On Saturday 20th October, Mackenzie Homes will be hosting a dedicated Help to Buy event at its popular Vanburgh Court development in central Slough. Purchasers will have an opportunity to view the impressive new show apartment and to access information and advice regarding the Government's Help to Buy scheme.

The event aims to inform buyers and existing homeowners about how they could make use of the Help to Buy scheme to secure a new home at Vanburgh Court with as little as a 5% deposit, while receiving a Government equity loan of up to 20%.

An Independent Financial Advisor will be available at the event, offering free and independent advice to potential purchasers. The event, which will run between 10am and 5pm, will be by appointment only. Places are being offered on a first come, first served basis, so interested buyers are being urged to act quickly to secure themselves a slot.

Taj Sangha, Director, Mackenzie Homes: “The interest we have received to date at Vanburgh Court has been fantastic, with so many purchasers here keen to secure themselves a new home in a location that is enjoying such an exciting period of regeneration. Many of our purchasers have been first time buyers who live locally and who without Help to Buy, simply wouldn't be able to purchase their first home. It's been fantastic that we have been able to assist so many people to secure a new apartment in their home town and I would encourage anyone looking for a new property in the area to come along and explore how Help to Buy could work for them.”

Vanburgh Court comprises an impressive collection of one and two bedroom apartments in a prime, central location – just 200 metres from Slough's impending Crossrail station and a short stroll from the town's improving high street.

Each apartment at Vanburgh Court offers a high internal specification.  A lift service will provide easy access to every floor, while each apartment will also benefit from a concierge service, the added convenience of a private, internal store and underground parking is also available.

The first phase of homes here has now sold out. Phase two comprises 79 one and two bedroom apartments with prices starting at £254,950.  The properties are available for purchase off-plan, with completions anticipated for summer 2019. Help to Buy is a Government backed scheme, which is accessible for all movers – not just first-time buyers. You can own 100% of your home with just a 5% deposit and a 75% mortgage. With a Help to Buy Equity Loan the Government lends you up to 20% of the cost of your newly built home, so you'll only need a 5% cash deposit and a 75% mortgage to make up the rest. This means you own 100% of your home and you can take advantage of lower mortgage repayments. You won't be charged loan fees on the 20% loan for the first five years of owning your home. Help to Buy is available on new homes with a value up to £600,000.
