Peters Village: The Latest Addition to the Medway Valley

Peters Village

Peters Village, a new thriving community in Wouldham, Kent is growing with acceleration by the day and fast becoming an ideal destination for young families seeking green views, spacious living and their forever home. Currently 200 households live here and upon completion, the new addition to the area will see a total of 1,000 new homes across 210 acres on the east bank of the River Medway.

Situated on the former site of Peters Lime & Cement Works, Peters Village is the product of a collaboration, devised by Trenport Investments, between award-winning property developers and housing associations, including; Hyde New Homes, Westerhill Homes and Orbit Homes. The consortium of placemaking specialists have combined their expertise to ensure there will be a home for all at Peters Village – providing a variety of properties ranging from one-bedroom apartments to five-bedroom houses all on the doorstep of various amenities. Each of the homes is finished to a quality-specification and features mod-cons, private outdoor space and parking.

At the heart of the destination is 'Outstanding' rated Wouldham All Saints CofE Primary School, which opened the doors of its new facilities in March 2018. Just 0.65 miles away from its predecessor site, the development has enabled pupils to have access to more modern facilities; the school to expand their availability and also for locals to have the advantage of extra community space for use out of school hours.

For adventure lovers, the village is designed to encourage a balanced quality of life and wellbeing through its neighbouring wide range of activities readily accessible for all to enjoy. The meandering River Medway is popular for sailing, kayaking and fishing and is also central to a network of trails and bridleways to be explored. To the east of the village is the stunning Kent Downs, designated an Area of Outstanding Beauty, where trails and paths take in exceptional views and are perfect for hiking, cycling and running.

Current and future residents of Peters Village will have excellent transport links into London and surrounding areas. Regular trains to St Pancras, London, take less than an hour from both Snodland and Halling stations, each in close proximity to the site. Residents looking for international connections can drive to Ebbsfleet International Station under 20 minutes, where they can board the Eurostar service. Further efforts to encourage cycling and walking within the village will also aim to promote a healthier way of life.

Chris Hall, Director at Trenport Investments comments: “We're delighted to be working with such talented housing experts to bring our vision for Peters Village to life. The project has established a welcoming community to the area, boasting a wealth of amenities catering for those who are seeking true village life. The development of Peters Village is progressing well, and we're looking forward to continue to welcome residents to their new home.”

A wide range of new homes are available now, provided by some of the UK's leading property developers. Purchasing routes include outright sale, with Help to Buy available on select homes, as well as Shared Ownership, making homes available in a range of configurations and prices.

All homes are set to be complete at Peters Village by 2024. For more information about Peters Village, please visit the website on www.petersvillage.co.uk

NOTES TO EDITOR

About Peters Village
Peters Village is an all-new community of more than 1,000 homes being built near Wouldham village in the River Medway Valley, between the Medway Towns conurbation and county town of Kent, Maidstone.

The peaceful riverside and rural setting, which has a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) nature reserve, belies its excellent communications by road and rail, including the M20 and M2 motorways, plus high-speed trains and commuter coaches into central London, all made possible by the River Medway's Peters Bridge opened in 2016.

But Peters Village also has a managed and sustainable Travel Plan to encourage walking, cycling and car sharing – for work, education, shopping and leisure – integrated since onsite construction began in 2014.

A sample survey of the first 100 occupiers onsite revealed that all would recommend friends and relatives to move to Peters Village.

The overall site developer is Trenport, working with a consortium of leading UK house builders including Hyde New Homes, Orbit Homes and Westerhill Homes. The property portfolio on offer ranges from luxury private properties and apartments to affordable ownership and rental.
