As Savills Australia enhances its services to its occupier clients, Opturion will provide valuable support to interpret 'big data' to understand demand and make supply chains more customer centric. This builds upon other tools Savills has recently added to its stable including SA1's Nodemaster and Orcoda's Logistics Management System.
Alan Dormer, Opturion's Managing Director says “the relationship with Savills will further leverage the use of Opturion to match supply of resources to demand. It will allow Savills to assist clients tailor their supply chains to make them more efficient and effective.”
“At Opturion, we allow organisations to reach their full potential by using more of their data to rapidly solve complex problems and to adapt to evolving conditions. Examples include optimising employee rostering and resourcing, dynamic transport optimisation, production scheduling, warehouse layout optimisation and more accurate demand forecasting.”
Bob Quirk, Savills Australia's Supply Chain Director, who is experienced in developing and using AI systems says ”Savills selected Opturion because they are an Australian company that has the power to help us tap into the well of a client's big data and use it quickly to help understand and optimizse its supply chain.”
“I've used AI to create 'heuristics' or 'rules of thumb' to quickly enable good decision making through 'backward chaining' or reverse engineering from outcomes to relevant inputs. Instead of an organisation drowning in data and unable to act, AI can support leadership to fast-track action by considering the relationship of factors to speed complex decision-making. It provides the ability to move faster in the marketplace to changing trends and customer needs”.
“We look forward to the partnership with Opturion to provide our clients with improved insight into their operations, so that they can make the right decisions faster in this high tempo environment,” he said.
