Barratt Homes Gives Buxton Buyers a Peak Into One of the Top 10 Places to Live in the Midlands

Barratt Homes

This weekend (January 11th and 12th 2020) Barratt Homes will open two brand-new show homes at its High Peak Meadow development in Buxton.

In 2018, the Times rated this historic spa town as one of the top 10 places to live in the Midlands and one of the top 50 locations in the UK to make a home.

Located on Burlow Road, buyers at the High Peak Meadow development will find the Peak District National Park on their doorstep. Later in 2020, Buxton's rich cultural heritage will get a further boost when its former natural baths re-open as a luxury five-star spa hotel.

The Ennerdale and Maidsley style homes at High Peak Meadow are both three bedroom properties and will be open to homeowners wishing to take a peek into what Buxton living has to offer.

The semi-detached Emmerdale has two double bedrooms and a master bedroom with an en suite. Downstairs, the home's open-plan dining kitchen and generously sized lounge are flooded with natural light from the surrounding Derbyshire Dales, which make both rooms ideal for entertaining.

Step outside and the Ennerdale also boasts a South-East facing private garden as well as an independent garage.

The Maidsley is also geared towards spending time with family and friends thanks to its well-lit combined kitchen diner and its spacious living area. Like the Ennerdale, it has an en suite attached to the master bedroom.

The home's French doors lead to a rear garden which provides plenty of space for spending time outside during warmer months, and there is parking available for two vehicles.

“We are very excited to be opening our Ennerdale and Maidsley show homes at High Peak Meadow,” said Michaela Lancaster, Sales Director at Barratt Manchester. “Over the centuries, Buxton has earned itself a reputation for good living and we believe that our development reflects the town's high quality of life and its natural beauty from the surrounding Derbyshire Dales. Irrespective of where they are on the property ladder, we urge prospective homebuyers seeking green and clean living to come and visit our show homes to experience what Buxton living has to offer.”

In addition to being positioned close to one of the UK's most favourable places to live, High Peak Meadow can be found 5.2 miles away from Buxton town centre and 2.2 miles from the A6.

Heading south from Buxton, the UK's fourth longest road connects commuters working in the Midlands to Matlock, Derby, Loughborough and Leicester.

Northwards, Manchester and Salford are also within commuting distance.

Both three and four bedrooms are available at High Peak Meadow and begin at £218,995.

Prospective buyers at the development can also use the government's Help to Buy scheme. The scheme gives buyers of homes worth up to £600,000 the opportunity to borrow an Equity Loan from the government, which makes up 20% of the value of their newly-built property.

To register an interest in any of the properties at High Peak Meadow, please visit the on-site sales and information centre on Burlow Road, open: Monday 12.30pm to 5.30pm and Wednesday to Sunday between 12.30pm to 5.30pm.
