The longlist for the Property Press Awards 2020 has been revealed (www.propertypressawards.com/longlist.html), with almost 150 journalists and media titles in the frame for this year's 16 trophies.

Entries for the Awards, which are organised by Property4Media, the social network connecting property journalists with the property industry, are now closed. The judges' shortlist will be announced on 20 April 2020.

The winners of the Property Press Awards 2020 will be revealed at a glittering champagne Awards ceremony at the Museum of London. The date for this year's event will be confirmed once conditions allow, Property4Media has announced (the event was originally scheduled to take place on 12 May).

Category sponsors already announced for 2020 are Ballymore, Elevate PR, FTI Consulting, Lucas Fox, Newgate Communications, Skipton Building Society, Strawberry Star, Strutt & Parker, and Zoopla, with bar sponsorship from Properganda PR.

Last year's winners included Graham Norwood being crowned as Overall Property Journalist of The Year, Anne Ashworth being awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award and Sam Barker winning Scoop of the Year.

With a record entry, Property Freelance Journalist of the Year is set to be particularly competitive, with 19 journalists vying for the title. Garden Journalist of the Year also looks set to be close with 14 making the longlist.

Up to three judges will determine the winners of each of the awards. As with last year, a third of the judges are new to this year's awards, and existing judges are being rotated across categories.

The outstanding panel of Property Press Awards judges comprises top professionals from the media, trade bodies, professional services and large property corporations. Profiles of the 2020 judges can be seen at www.propertypressawards.com/judges.html.
