Ray White Rural Welcomes NASCO Auctioneers Into the Family

For Brisbane-based Chris Goscomb, the owner and one of the senior auctioneers at NASCO Auctioneers the thought of joining Ray White Rural was a no-brainer to seek future growth opportunities.

The former stock and station agent from Gunnedah NSW was attracted to the broad reach and scale of the fast growing rural network with key business owners in every state and territory of Australia.

“I am originally from the bush and I've been an auctioneer my whole life so I know how to talk and relate to country people, when the opportunity presented itself to partner with the nation's leading rural property & livestock group I jumped at it.”

We've been on a good healthy growth path over the past six years,” Mr Goscomb said. “Customers come to us if they want to buy or sell all kinds of stuff like machinery, vehicles, trucks, boats, tractors, plant and equipment.”

NASCO are recognised as experts when conducting auctions in Brisbane and regional Queensland with all auctions being supported with live bidding simulcast to increase the buying audience online.

NASCO conducts monthly auctions in Brisbane with their vendors typically being local and state government departments, finance groups, corporations, agriculture, rental companies, earth-moving and civil companies.

“We have grown at a dramatic pace in Queensland in the government sector and we felt that a partnership with Ray White would assist us in broadening our reach,” Mr Goscomb said.

“Ray White sells a lot of real estate but from my understanding there has been a missing link regarding the disposal of plant & equipment and farm clearing sales, Ray White NASCO will have the ability to conduct online clearing sales for farm machinery and equipment and also provide live bidding for any onsite auctions as well.”

NASCO uses cutting edge online technology which enables buyers to bid anywhere in the world via their smart device.

“I can have a buyer sitting on his tractor in WA bidding on his iPhone on a piece of farm equipment located in Queensland, it's that easy. All you have to do is register via the website and once you're approved you can bid at any of our auctions moving forward. Recently in Biloela we had a 95 per cent auction clearance rate with over 70 per cent of the items being sold online.”

Ray White Rural Managing Director Stephen Nell said he was excited about the potential that NASCO Auctioneers offers the broader agricultural network.

“I know Chris and his team always uphold a professional standard when offering disposal solutions. He's got up to date industry knowledge and conveys an ethical client-supplier relationship when offering sales advice and market conditions,” Mr Nell said.

“NASCO will be natural extension of our business given our company sells a lot of rural property and clearing sales are quite often included in those listings. All our members will now have a referral to assist them when selling their clients farm machinery. For the disposal of fleet, agriculture and machinery items everyone outside of Queensland will know to go to NASCO.”

Ray White Rural Chairman Paul White welcomed Chris Goscomb and his team to the family. “NASCO have always had a great reputation and similarly aligned to our family values and aspirations. “
