A planning application from Barratt Homes will deliver much-needed homes in Thornton, alongside significant investment into the area. 

The new development located on Lydiate Lane, named Sundial Place, will offer a collection of two, three and four bedroom homes, perfect for a variety of buyers, including those looking to take a step onto the property ladder.

As well as 183 new properties, the five star homebuilder will also provide an almost £500k contribution to the area via the planning agreement with Sefton Borough Council.  

Almost £300k of the monies will go to education places at primary schools in the area, whilst nearly £90,000 will offer upgrades and improvements to offsite open spaces. An additional £20,000 will also contribute to the creation of a new roundabout to serve the new community.

As part of the new development, the homebuilder will also continue its aim of creating wildlife friendly habitats within the new community, and will provide a collection of features within its show home gardens to encourage this, including bird boxes, hedgehog highways and hedgehog homes.
