A modern dad has laid down some foundations in Congleton in a contemporary family home after using the Help to Buy scheme at David Wilson Homes' Black Firs Park.
Due to these new family homes becoming so popular, Black Firs Park is now sold out but property seekers are able to find their new home in Congleton at Somerford Reach, on Black Firs Lane.
James Drew (42) recently purchased a four bedroom home at the Black Firs Lane development to provide more space for his children, Jessica (8) and Austin (6) who live with him two nights a week.
James said: “I wanted a home that was as large as possible within my budget with enough rooms for my two children when they're here and room for guests.
“The minute I drove onto the development it had such a warm, family feeling. The playground on the development and the green open spaces definitely contribute to the peaceful atmosphere and quiet nature, it really is lovely.”
At the aspirational Congleton development, homes have been designed with modern family living In mind, featuring a range of open plan living spaces.
The perfect rural setting for families, Congleton has the Cheshire countryside on its doorstep, ideal for exploring and walks with four-legged friends and Congleton village has all of the everyday essentials that homebuyers need.
James continued: “I used the Help to Buy scheme while it was still available to me. This enabled me to invest in a larger family property for the fraction of the price and made the property much more affordable.
“I have been well informed throughout the moving process and despite the pandemic it has all been really smooth. The staff on site, particularly Hollie, have assisted me at every stage and I would without a doubt recommend David Wilson Homes to family and friends.”
The current Help to Buy scheme is available until 31st March 2021 and both existing homeowners and first time buyers can benefit. As a result of the Coronavirus pandemic the Government recently announced a small, two month extension to the building deadline, which means eligible properties can now be build complete by February 2021 instead of December 2020. From 1st April 2021 there will be a new Help to Buy scheme, with regional price caps and for first time buyers only.
Somerford Reach has a range of four bedroom homes available for keen homebuyers to reserve offering the best of countryside and convenience starting from starting from £325,000.
James said: “The development has a really relaxed feel and all of the neighbours I've met are family orientated with a nice mix of all different generations. Everyone is friendly and kind, as we are all new to the estate, there has truly been a team spirit feel to the way everyone is welcomed in one by one.
“My favourite part about coming home is being able to relax and put my feet up but safe in the knowledge that the children are able to roam the playground in a safe and welcoming atmosphere. It is beautiful.”
As a thank you to NHS staff, who have shown courage in the face of the Covid-19 crisis, Barratt and David Wilson Homes has launched a 5% Deposit Scheme contribution towards their deposit, for all NHS workers.
