A London family have recently relocated to Barratt Homes' Northamptonshire development, Lyveden Fields, after looking to escape the expensive living costs of the capital.
Previously living in Feltham, NHS workers Amanda and Anson Joseph (both 41) and their children Amare (14) and Azaria (12), were looking for somewhere more affordable to live, whilst improving their children's quality of life. After house hunting, they found that the Livingstone Road development in Corby provided excellent value for money.
The Joseph family are now settled into their four bedroom Alderney style home. Both Amanda and Anson are Nurses at Kettering Hospital, meaning they benefit from an easier commute from their home.
Amanda said: “This is our first home as a family, and we are delighted to be settled in. This really is the forever home we have been looking for.
“Throughout the buying process, the Sales Advisers at Lyveden Fields have been so helpful. They have been in contact with us the whole time and did all of the simple things right, which overall made for a great experience.
“It's wonderful to own our own home. I always wanted a new build property. It's amazing that everything is ready to go, I didn't want to be fixing things up. It all feels clean and all the small details are done perfectly.”
The Joseph Family will now benefit from a number of amenities nearby. They are also just a short drive away from a variety of family days out, including Deane Park and Rockingham Castle.
Amanda continued: “The area is wonderful. It's in good distance to everything, including airports and schools, and we're not too far from our family and friends. We have found a nice church nearby which is great. We have had some friends and family come to visit us and we walked around some nearby fields and lakes, they were very envious of the lovely environment.
“There is a community already being built here at Lyveden Fields. Our neighbours are now our friends.
“It's such a contrast living here in comparison to London. We've escaped the busyness of the capital, the pace of life here is much slower which we love. There's plenty of wildlife here too, which makes a pleasant change to the pigeons of London!
“We've been so impressed with Barratt's quality of homes and customer service that we have recommended them to our family. In fact, my aunt and cousin now also own a Barratt home.
Chanda Chileshe, Senior Sales Manager at Barratt Homes Northampton, said: “We're delighted to hear that the Joseph's are now settled into their new home and we hope they continue to enjoy exploring the area.
“As we pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service, it's great to hear how accommodating the sales team have been.”
Lyveden Fields is located just two miles away from Corby train station, offering direct trains into London St Pancras in just over an hour. The A14 is close-by as well, providing key road links to major towns and cities including Northampton, Cambridge and Birmingham.
