Luxury Homes for Local People at Barratt Homes' Bowland Meadow Development

Barratt Homes

Barratt Homes has made life easier for prospective buyers seeking a move into a luxury home in Lancashire by adding another scheme to its long lists of incentives aimed to get people onto the property ladder.

Alongside the leading developer's multiple offers to help make homebuying easier, including Help to Buy, Part Exchange and the NHS discount scheme, the developer has added the Luxury Homes for Local People scheme to the list.

This scheme will allow for people with a connection to Ribble Valley to exclusively secure a luxury Barratt property at a reduced cost and is available on the three bedroom Barton style home at Bowland Meadow.

Ideal for couples and young families, the Barton house type has a spacious lounge and dining area with French doors that open out to the rear garden.

Upstairs there is a double master bedroom, two further bedrooms and a stylish bathroom. The property also has parking for two cars and a good sized rear garden, ideal for evenings in the sunshine.

The five star developer has a variety of schemes and offers to make moving home much easier, including:

Help to Buy

The government backed Help to Buy scheme, which launched in 2013, allows buyers to purchase a home with just a 5% deposit and a 75% mortgage. The remaining 20% is funded by an equity loan, interest-free for the first five years and repayable on the sale on the home.

Movemaker

Barratt Homes will help to arrange to sell the existing home with no estate agent fees to pay. Acting as a one stop shop for homebuyers, the Movemaker scheme works when individuals reserve their home. They will receive a complimentary estate agency service with a free no obligation valuation on the existing home.

Barratt Homes will complete the Movemaker once a selling price has been agreed by the customer, and then will instruct the estate agent to sell the old home free of charge. As soon as the property sells, the customer is free to move into their new Barratt Home.

Part Exchange

Part Exchange is a popular initiative which is ideal for those who are looking to move to a larger home, but are struggling to find a buyer, or simply want to cut out all the hassle of selling the property independently.

It means a guaranteed buyer at fair market value and it takes the stress away from the customer allowing them to move into their brand new home as soon as it's ready.

Michaela Lancaster, Sales Director at Barratt Homes Manchester, said: “By offering our Barton style homes alongside the new scheme, our houses are available for those who have lived in the area for a certain period of time, making these beautiful homes built by local people, for local people.

“Applications will be sent to Ribble Valley Council for approval making sure that the buyer meets the certain criteria to be able to purchase the home at the discounted rate.

“The Chipping Lane development is now open on an appointment only basis, for those who are interested, I would encourage to visit our website or call the sales line to book an appointment with a Sales Adviser.”

Bowland Meadow is the ideal place for families to settle down. There's a great range of local shops just five minutes away and a selection of primary and secondary schools within one mile.

For those who prefer the outdoors, taking a walk up to Spire Hill on Longridge Fell is the perfect way to see amazing views over the Forest of Bowland. At Beacon Fell, families are able to take in all of the different wildlife running free, and on a clear day, views look over to the Isle of Man.

The Luxury Homes for Local People scheme is in association with the national Low Cost Home Ownership scheme.
