Birmingham-based developer Lovell has announced that construction work on a new development of 77 homes, located off Little Tixall Lane in Great Haywood, will commence in January 2021. 

Tolkien Grange will create a stylish new community of two, three and four-bedroom contemporary homes with 54 available for open market sale and 23 affordable.

Located on the edge of Cannock Chase in Staffordshire on arable land, this development will help to tackle the demand for new homes in the area, whilst creating an economic stimulus with quality jobs for local tradespeople.

Stuart Penn, regional managing director for Lovell, said: “We are delighted to soon be commencing work on a total of 77 homes in Great Haywood, which will increase the supply of new homes locally, whilst boosting the economy and surrounding communities.

“This is the second scheme in Staffordshire that we have been able to get underway in recent weeks, with 73 homes currently under construction in Brewood. We have a third scheme in the county planned in Burton Upon Trent with 190 homes due there next year.

“Combined these three sites are a reflection of our commitment to the region and our belief in the market here despite the challenging backdrop of the pandemic.”

Tolkien Grange is located just seven miles from Stafford town centre, providing the perfect location for professionals and families, with easy road links to the M6 and regular public transport into Stafford.
