Construction work has officially started on a new homes development in the Cambridgeshire market town of Ramsey.
David Wilson Homes is delivering a collection of 188 new homes in Ramsey, which will bring a variety of one, two, three, four and five bedroom properties that will suit a range of buyers.
The development will also underpin over 375 local jobs in the area and will bring significant investment to the area.
Located on Biggin Lane, Ramsey will provide excellent commuter links for working professionals being less than 13 miles from Peterborough and less than 24 miles from Cambridge.
There are many natural attractions near the development, including Holme Fen National Nature Reserve, Lattersey Field, Gildenburgh Water and Kings Dyke Nature Reserve.
John Dillon, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes, said, “We're really excited to start work on our new development in Ramsey, bringing much needed, quality properties to the area.
“As our Ramsey development begins to progress we will not only be contributing to the local area financially, but also in terms of the jobs we have created for local people and the homes we are bringing.
“Investing into local communities is an extremely important part of building a new housing development. We pride ourselves on our commitment to the local community and strive to support it wherever we can.”
