Construction has now begun on a new 420 pupil place capacity primary academy at the new Barratt and David Wilson Homes community, Kingsbrook, located on the outskirts of Aylesbury.
Kingsbrook View Primary Academy will be ready to welcome children at the start of September 2021 and will be run by Inspiring Futures Partnership Trust, a Buckinghamshire-based multi-academy trust. The Kingsbrook community continues to grow, Barratt and David Wilson Homes and Buckinghamshire Council has ensured the delivery of a brand new primary academy and nursery, as well as a second primary school and secondary school planned for development further down the line.
Kingsbrook View Primary Academy will be a two-form entry free school with 420 places for primary aged children along with a 52 place nursery.
Jon Mason, Executive Principal of Inspiring Futures Partnership Trust explained that “Kingsbrook View Primary Academy will utilise the educational experience and expertise of Inspiring Futures Partnership Trust to ensure its children experience an outstanding primary education; underpinned by its motto Growing together to achieve dreams.”
Kingsbrook View will also benefit from a multi-use games area (MUGA), hard and soft play areas, a wildlife area and a forest school curriculum. The main hall and external sports facilities will also be available for hire, to benefit the local community. The academy development will include a new car park with electric charging points, bicycle and scooter storage for use by pupils and staff. Further information about this wonderful new primary academy can be found at www.kvpa.org.uk
Cllr Anita Cranmer, Cabinet Member for Education and Skills at Buckinghamshire Council said: “We look forward to the building of this school for our Kingsbrook Community, which will not only provide for our vision of the best outcomes for every young person in Kingsbrook but will also link with our climate change aspiration for Bucks' a better place in which to live. The Council supports the Skills agenda and is pleased that many jobs and skills apprenticeships will be generated through this build process to support the growth economy in Buckinghamshire.”
The Kingsbrook development alone is bringing enormous investment to Aylesbury with over £80m in infrastructure improvements alone.
Simon Francis, Managing Director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes North Thames, said: “With Kingsbrook already flying the flag for wildlife friendly features, we are beginning to implement state of the art educational facilities at the development. We are working very closely with Buckinghamshire Council to bring these exciting amenities to our community in time for the beginning of the school year in 2021.
“Kingsbrook has established itself as a vibrant community, with a brand new Parish Council leading the way in community cohesion. With local schools, nurseries, community amenities, a dedicated bus route and a 250 acre Nature Reserve in the early planning stages, Kingsbrook is shaping up to be so much more than a housing development.”
A range of both Barratt and David Wilson properties are now available. With prices starting from £308,995 the development currently has a range of two, three and four bedroom homes.
