The finalists for the Property Press Awards 2021 have been announced, from a record-breaking 192 entries received by Property4Media, up 25% on last year.
Winners of the prestigious awards will be revealed at a dazzling champagne reception and ceremony on 20 October at Museum of London, hosted by property celebrity Phil Spencer.
As ever, some of the most fiercely contested categories have included Property Supplement of the Year, Freelance Journalist of the Year, and Property Staff Writer of the Year.
This year's Awards also feature three new categories: Sustainability Journalist of the Year, Property Influencer of the Year, and a Special Achievement Award honouring outstanding writing during the pandemic – which drew a major entry.
The evening climaxes with the announcement of the Property Journalist of the Year 2021, awarded to the night's overall top-scoring journalist.
October's event is a return to a live Property Press Awards event for the first time since 2019. Last year's Awards, the 10th running of the event, saw winners announced in a live YouTube broadcast (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pyu8WjSsHYU&t=143s), also hosted by Phil Spencer. Multiple records were broken, with over 100 journalists and media titles shortlisted.
The Property Press Awards are organised by Property4Media.com, the social network connecting the property industry with the media, and celebrate the sector's finest journalistic achievements across the media spectrum. The 18 categories cover residential and commercial property, overseas property, mortgages, interiors, and more.
Limited sponsorship opportunities for the event remain, though the vast majority of award sponsorships are taken (https://propertypressawards.com/sponsor.html).
Property4Media CEO Henry Hemming said: “We know everyone in the industry is looking forward to an evening out… ! The return of the Property Press Awards ceremony on the evening of 20 October promises to be something truly memorable.
“We're thrilled at the record entry from the media, hugely grateful to our sponsors and judges, and of course looking forward to welcoming Phil!”
Judges for the Property Press Awards 2020 include over 40 senior property executives, media editors, industry experts and personalities. They include Mark Collins, Chairman of CBRE, Gráinne Gilmore, Head of Research, Zoopla; British Property Federation's CEO, Melanie Leech; Nick Leeming, Chairman of Jackson-Stops, and property industry author and commentator Peter Bill.
Almost half the judges are new to this year's awards, with up to three judges determining the winners of each trophy. The full list of judges is available at www.propertypressawards.com/judges.html.
Tickets for the event are available at £175+VAT. To purchase a ticket contact Victoria Furse, Property4Media (victoria.furse@property4media.com).
