Leading managing agent, Rendall & Rittner, has recently appointed Jo Watson as its Head of New Business and promoted John Osborn to Business Development Manager. These new positions have been created to help the company expand nationally by seeking new business opportunities. This will include searching for opportunities to expand the company's portfolio in the Build to Rent sector and in Retirement living.

Jo initially joined Rendall & Rittner as a Team Leader in 2012, progressing to Area Director, before leaving to join the Canary Wharf Group in 2015 to set up the company's residential property arm. As Head of Residential and then Operations Director, her responsibility was to oversee the set-up and management of over 5,000 new homes in the area along with the management strategy for the vast mixed-use estate. Following a period of maternity leave, Jo has returned to Rendall & Rittner in this new role.

Having initially studied Geology at Oxford University and pursued an early career in the oil industry, Jo began her career in property management at Mainstay working her way from an Assistant Property Manager up to London Regional Director.  Along the way, she held positions responsible for mobilisations of new developments, insurance, company secretarial, health and safety, systems and project management, so has a vast and varied experience.

In her role as Head of New Business, Jo will be working to secure new clients and developments for the award-winning managing agent. Recognising that its people are Rendall & Rittner's greatest asset, Jo will be working with the team to build on the company's reputation and relationships to foster new business opportunities and looking to promote the R&R brand to enter new markets.  This will include securing invites for Rendall & Rittner representatives to attend and speak at events, conferences, and round tables.

Speaking about her new role, Jo commented: “Having worked at Rendall & Rittner previously, I knew that the company respects and values its employees which creates an excellent working environment and it has been great to be welcomed back. I have been lucky to enjoy a wide variety of roles during my career in property management and this is another new opportunity for me to explore. I am looking forward to  meeting new potential clients and seeing the varied and spectacular developments across the UK  as we look to grow the business.”

Rendall & Rittner has also recently promoted John Osborn to the position of Business Development Manager. He was previously a Property Team Managerin one of the company's London divisions. Speaking about his new promotion, John commented: “I'm really excited to join the Business Development team and have the opportunity to build on an already successful history of growth. Having spent over 20 years managing properties at all levels I look forward to using this experience to develop our new business strategy and promote Rendall & Rittner to a wide variety of client types.
