Odevo, the fast-growing international property management group, has expanded its presence in the US with the addition of William Douglas Management, which has eleven offices throughout North and South Carolina. This is the third company in the US that Odevo has acquired as the group continues its strategy of global growth.
Setting out to drive change in the traditional property management industry across the globe, Odevo's unique approach leverages the power of people and technology. The group was formed when leading UK managing agent Rendall & Rittner joined forces with Swedish based Nabo and SBC. It has become a market-leader in the UK with Premier Estates and Trinity Property Group also part of the group.
William Douglas is the leading property management company in the Carolinas, with over 1,000 homeowner associations under management and a total of 130,000 homeowners. Its subsidiaries in the region are Association Management Solutions in Lake Wylie, SC and Hawthorne Property Management in Charlotte, NC. It becomes part of Odevo just a few months after the group entered the United States market by joining forces with Florida-based KW Property Management & Consulting and Texas-based Spectrum Association Management.
Chris D. Gilleland, CEO of William Douglas Management, said: “We are thrilled that our company cultures and accomplishments have made us a sought-after partner for Odevo. We were drawn to Odevo's value creation philosophy, which prioritises the development of team members and local brands, while providing exceptional support in areas ranging from technology, financial services and human resources. All these factors made joining forces with Odevo the obvious choice.”
Odevo has taken an innovative approach to building a market-leading international group by valuing the strength and expertise of individual companies while adding value and resources across the group. This tactic has paid off - since its launch four years ago, Odevo has grown in size more than thirty times with a presence across Sweden, Finland, the UK and now the US. It has 4,575 employees and a portfolio of 940,000 homes under management, with an annual revenue of £290 million. It invests strongly in technology and digital transformation, with almost 100 dedicated software engineers developing bespoke industry solutions.
With the latest US addition to the group, Odevo has created exceptional momentum to continue its growth across the United States and achieved its goal of providing industry leading service to homeowner associations in the largest market in the world.
Daniel Larsson, CEO of Odevo, said: “We always strive to partner with the very best companies in the industry. William Douglas Management's commitment to people and exceptional service is perfectly aligned with Odevo's core strategy. KWPMC, Spectrum and William Douglas are all exceptional companies that have delivered and will continue to deliver exceptional service and growth propelled by the same values. I am very excited about our combined ability to drive change in the US industry and I look forward to more companies joining a truly exciting journey.”
