Exclusive Luxury Living Revealed as New Show Apartments Launch at Retirement Community in Wylde Green, Sutton Coldfield

Adlington Retirement Living

Adlington Retirement Living has released photographs of two new luxurious show apartments at its retirement community in Wylde Green, Sutton Coldfield.

Broadleaf House, on Birmingham Road, is the 18th community to be designed, built and operated by Adlington Retirement Living which has won Seniors Housing Scheme of the Year for the past two years* and was crowned Seniors Housing Developer of the Year in 2022.

Alexandra Johnson, Sales and Marketing Director for Adlington Retirement Living, said: “Our award-winning approach to independent living, offers a luxurious lifestyle in beautiful surroundings, with the highest standards of service. Our homeowners don't have to compromise on their lifestyle, their social life or their independence.

“We aim to provide a community spirit, whilst promoting independence and individual respect, so our homeowners can thrive and feel their best, enjoying spending time doing the things they love. We provide an opportunity to become part of a thriving community of like-minded people, with a shared outlook and a sense of belonging.”

Broadleaf House offers 57 stylish one, two and three-bedroom apartments for the over 55's, in a safe and secure environment, with the benefit of patios or walk-out balconies to all apartments.

Tim and Angela, homeowners at another Adlington Retirement Living community said: “One of the reasons that we decided to come here was because it had the size of rooms and number of rooms in an apartment that we thought we could be happy in.

“We went to one or two other communities, but you couldn't get a three-bedroom property without stairs anywhere else. When we walked into the three-bedroomed show apartment, there was so much space. We liked the fact that it was big and airy and so light, with the windows and the balconies. We've got two balconies, one in the living room and one in our bedroom. The gardens are lovely too.”

Homeowners at Broadleaf House have the best of both worlds. In addition to the privacy of their own peaceful and spacious apartment, they are also able to enjoy the communal facilities as an extension of their home.

There's a coffee lounge, restaurant, homeowners' lounge, hair salon, therapy suite and activities studio, as well as a guest suite with en-suite bathroom for visiting friends and family who wish to stay overnight.

Trevor, who moved to an Adlington Retirement Living community in April last year said: “I am so, so pleased I came. There's a good sense of community and I've made some good friends since I've moved here. I settled in right away. I amazed myself at how quickly I felt at home, and I got on speaking terms with quite a few people in the first few days.

“One of the homeowners has just started some of us playing chess again. I had about three games last week in the homeowner's lounge and the coffee lounge and that was very good. We have speciality gala nights every six weeks or so. We've started a pétanque club on a Sunday morning.

“I eat in the restaurant two or three times a week. I have my hair cut in the salon here. We use the activities room for a weekly exercise class which I join sometimes. It's a bit of fun and we have a coffee or tea afterwards and chat.”

All apartments include quality, fully fitted kitchens with integrated appliances. Many feature en-suite shower rooms as well as separate bathrooms, and most have walk-out balconies or a private patio area overlooking the landscaped gardens. The gardens themselves are beautifully manicured and maintained, offering plenty of opportunities to relax in peaceful surroundings, with seating areas, thoughtful pathways and a summer house to enjoy.

The 24-hour on-site support team provide homeowners with added peace of mind and, if needed, optional personal care packages can be tailored to individual needs. In addition to this, there will be a sophisticated emergency call system and a security video entry system to manage access.

*Adlington Retirement Living has won Seniors Housing Scheme of the Year for the past two years and was crowned Seniors Housing Developer of the Year at the HealthInvestor Seniors Housing Awards 2022.
