We have been delighted to attend two important property shows over the last few weeks, and our agents were on-hand to give valuable insights on living and working in France.

 

Firstly, the two-day French Property Exhibition was held in London, UK. The show has been running for over 30 years and was packed out with buyers from around the country. As usual, the Leggett International stand was a cornerstone of the event, with both Joanna and Trevor Leggett in attendance. Joanna was a keynote speaker at seminars on both days and gave us this report: "Our stand was jam-packed on both days - we had ten agents on hand from all areas of France and we were all hoarse by the end of both days. Around 150 people filled the room for both seminars, and we quickly established that around 70% of visitors were looking for a permanent move to France, with budgets from 50,000 euros up to a million. It really was a great show, and we handed out over 500 copies of the Leggett Magazine - 2025 looks like being a bumper year."

 

The show in London followed hot on the heels of the Maison en France exhibition held in Baarn, Netherlands in December. Hosted in the stunning Chateau Groeneveld, the "infoday" showed why French property is so attractive to Dutch buyers. Many of our agents are from the Netherlands and our attendance at the show led to a huge spike in traffic to our website during the following days. Lana de Jong sent us this report: "Visitors were a mix of those looking for holiday-homes and people planning a permanent move to France. They were interested in all areas of France, including the Haute-Vienne where I am based. This was my second time I have taken part in the show, and it is richly rewarding to be able to meet so many people and share my knowledge about buying property and general life in France. It was a successful day, in beautiful surroundings and the Maison en France team put on a terrific show."
