Leading property data provider, Hometrack, has been awarded a significant contract to deliver comprehensive housing market intelligence data by Homes England. These statistics will support the government agency's regeneration and housing delivery goals over the next four years.
Homes England is the UK Government's housing and regeneration agency. It plays a central role in delivering housing policy by unlocking land, investing in housing development, and supporting local regeneration efforts to ensure more homes are built in the right places.
Hometrack is a UK-based property analytics and data services company, best known for providing automated property valuations, market intelligence, and housing insights. It is widely used across the mortgage lending, real estate, public sector, and financial services industries.
The 3-year contract awarded to Hometrack by Homes England, which begins on 1 April 2025 and runs through to 31 March 2028 (with the option to extend for a further year), marks a significant investment in data-driven policy development and spatial planning.
The insights delivered by Hometrack will provide a detailed and in-depth, monthly view of the UK housing market, covering every house sale and its price, and will be central to shaping national and local housing strategies, unlocking regeneration potential, and informing public investment.
The partnership will help provide a firm foundation for the UK government's housing targets, including Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves's, commitment to build 1.5 million new homes.
“We're proud to be supporting Homes England with data insights that empower local regeneration and sustainable growth,” said Charlie Bryant, CEO of Hometrack. “Our analytics will provide strategic investment and policy solutions with greater precision.”
This long-term investment by Homes England and the UK government demonstrates the increasing value of market intelligence in public sector decision-making. It builds on the agency's strategic objective to leverage data to accelerate regeneration, unlock sites, and deliver the homes that UK communities need.
