Joint venture developers, Abadeen and PERIFA along with their partners Phoenix Property Investors and Mitsubishi Estate Asia have launched the exciting next residential stage, Waterview Terraces, at their $350 million Putney Wharf Residences mixed-use harbourfront development to market.

Occupying a rare 300-metre stretch of absolute waterfront and home to the historic former Halvorsen's Boatshed located at 20 Waterview Street, Putney Wharf Residences will deliver a premium, lifestyle-focused mixed-use precinct – featuring an exclusive collection of 67 luxury apartments and townhouses, sophisticated waterfront dining and retail, and a 36-berth marina.

Stage 2 introduces an exclusive boutique collection of just 18 three-storey, four-bedroom terraces, thoughtfully designed to maximise natural light and deliver seamless indoor-outdoor living.

Sun-soaked, north-facing and lining Waterview Street, each residence is encapsulated by leafy green canopies, offering a rare blend of privacy, tranquillity and connection to nature.

Adam Haddow, Principal of SJB describe his studios' designs for the Waterview Terraces:

“The north-facing terraces at Putney Waterfront embody elegant simplicity, surrounded by leafy green canopies. Each individual terrace house is thoughtfully designed with specific details, such as a setback entryway that emphasises a sense of arrival.

"This entry sequence, in conjunction with the approach to the front yards, is enhanced by strategically placed landscaping elements.

“The design takes into account the need for privacy for both new and current residents, achieved by setting the houses back from the street while remaining in harmony with the neighbouring scale.

“These 4-bedroom, three and four storey terraces offer a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor living spaces on the ground floor, promoting a natural flow between the interior and exterior environments. The separation between bedrooms and public living spaces is clearly defined across the levels, ensuring both privacy and functionality. Every terrace also includes its own private lift.

“Across all residential offerings at Putney Wharf, the material palette is defined by a light and dark scheme with softer toned stones, complemented by neutral and earthy tones that reflect the natural surroundings. The interiors feature painted timber veneers with tactile finishes for joinery, neutral timber floors in living areas, and 100% natural wool carpets in bedrooms, creating warm, homely, sophisticated spaces.”

Managing project marketing and sales, SRM Residential Partner Tim Rees said the project has been highly anticipated, thanks to its unique position overlooking a hidden, pristine pocket of Sydney's harbourfront and offering true parkside living.

“The Waterview Terraces feature expansive 'house-sized' proportions each spanning over 200sqm of internal space with separate living areas and four bedrooms, ideal for families, with double garaging.

"Following the overwhelming success of the first stage, The Halvorsen Boatshed apartments, we anticipate a similarly strong response to these exceptionally rare, architecturally crafted terrace homes."

Born from a shared vision to create something truly unique, Putney Wharf is a one-of-a-kind residential collection. It features a diverse trio of meticulously crafted homes, including luxury terraces, expansive apartments and heritage inspired harbourfront residences, bringing a rare lifestyle opportunity to Putney. It's three residential components include:

  • The Halvorsen's. A full restoration of the heritage-listed Halvorsen's Boatshed, comprising 19 oversized apartments (consisting of 17 three-bedrooms and 2 four-bedroom residences).
  • Waterview Terraces. Located on Waterview Street comprising 18 three-storey, four-bedroom terraces.
  • The Residences at Putney Wharf. Consisting of two new-build three-storey apartment buildings, offering 30 apartments; a mix of two-bedrooms and three-bedroom.

The Waterview Terraces are priced starting from approximately $4,500,000 million for a three-storey, four-bedroom property with 2 car spaces.

Alleviating the shortage of marina berths in Sydney harbour, Putney Wharf's 36-berth marina has been designed to the latest Australian Standards and provides accommodation for boats sized up to 18 metres.

Justin Brown, Executive Chairman and Founder of Abadeen said, “Putney Wharf is going to be the culmination of so many of our developments and learnings that we have had over those 30 years. We think this is a legacy for Sydney, and we're proud to be a part of it.

“When we first saw the site, we just saw the potential, a site that we can use the history and also create modern residences around that. It obviously was the beginning of Halverson in Australia, with the beautiful wooden boats that we all know so romantically.”

PERIFA Managing Director and Co-Founder Fabrizio Perilli commented:

"Putney Wharf is truly providing a home for people who love the harbourfront lifestyle that Sydney has to offer.

“Whether people live in the Halvorsen's apartments, the water view terraces, or the residences, we are providing an apartment and townhouse lifestyle that suits a broad population.

"Combine that with the marina berths, hospitality venues, and the site's unique heritage; we are creating something really special, that will add value to the Putney community”.

Adam Haddow added: “Putney Wharf is unique because it's rare, because of its harbourside location, it's nestled amongst trees, and your front door is the harbour itself.

“Putney Wharf is about capturing views really; it's about ensuring that the buildings are oriented to take advantage of this incredible and remarkable harbour frontage.”

“The Halvorsens are an absolute harbourfront location, you are in a heritage building with the sense of grandeur that comes from that authentic nature of the building, and the connection that you'll get to the water is really unsurpassed.

“The water view terraces are about connecting you to the ground and to the sky, and this three-level living means that you get a remarkable sense of volume, light and connection to the outdoors that you can live seamlessly between your interior and garden space, and that is really its greatest offer.”

Construction on the Putney Wharf precinct is expected to be completed by early 2027.
