Platform and Owl to Deliver Shared Ownership Homes in South Worcestershire - Ready to Move Into Next Year

Platform Home Ownership

Platform Home Ownership, in collaboration with Owl Partnerships, will soon be delivering a new collection of Shared Ownership homes in South Worcestershire, ready for a 2026 move-in.

The development, off Furrows Close, will comprise a mix of two- and three-bedroom properties, each built to be high-quality, with energy-efficiency at the core.

Shared Ownership gives young Worcestershire families, first-time buyers and those on lower incomes greater accessibility to the property ladder. This provides the opportunity to buy a share, typically between 10 per cent and 75 per cent, and put down a deposit on that share rather than the full market value.

Thereafter, owners pay a mortgage on that percentage and rent on the remainder, with the opportunity to gradually increase their owned share all the way up to full home ownership.

Homes at Furrows Close have been designed with contemporary lifestyles in mind, with energy-efficient features to help reduce running costs and support sustainable living.

Each home is being built to an excellent specification by Owl Partnerships' award-winning team, with an emphasis on comfort, practicality and space.

Gareth Wilkes, Construction Director at Owl Partnership, said: “Our development at Furrows Close in Ryall was deliberately designed to address the shortfall of quality, affordable homes in the area and has been thoughtfully planned to provide a mix of properties that will appeal to homeowners aspiring to move to the village.

“Construction is progressing well on site and we anticipate the first homes being ready for occupancy in early 2026. Together with Platform, we look forward to welcoming the development's first residents.”

Located in the picturesque village of Ryall, opposite the riverside town of Upton-upon-Severn, Furrows Close offers the perfect balance of countryside charm and everyday convenience.

The surrounding area is well-served by local shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, while families will benefit from a choice of nine schools within easy reach, eight of which are rated either 'Good' or 'Outstanding'.

Excellent transport links mean Ledbury, Worcester, Evesham and Gloucester are all within a 35-minute drive, while the nearby M5 and M50 provide swift connections to Birmingham, Bristol and beyond. Residents can also enjoy the tranquillity of the River Severn and the scenic walking and cycling routes that run alongside it.

Sarah Williams, Sales Consultant at Platform, said: “The new Shared Ownership homes at Furrows Close will give local people the opportunity to enjoy a brand-new, energy-efficient home in a fantastic location.

“With practical layouts, the idyllic countryside, and excellent transport links, we expect strong interest when the first plots are released.”
