Homeseekers in Worcester can take advantage of a fresh opportunity to step onto the property ladder later this year, with Bromford set to release a further range of five-star Shared Ownership homes less than two miles from the city.
The leading housing association is partnering with esteemed housebuilder Bovis Homes, to deliver a further collection of two- and three-bedroom semi-detached homes, which will be available to move into at the beginning of 2026.
Set in the historic village of Lower Broadheath, and bearing the name of famed composer Edward Elgar who was born there, the development combines countryside living with connections to the amenities, culture and employment opportunities of Worcester and beyond.
Homes at Elgar Park will be available through Shared Ownership, which allows buyers to purchase a share between 25 per cent and 75 per cent, paying rent on the remainder.
Once settled into this popular community where Bromford has supported a number of families and first-time buyers onto the property ladder at previous phases, shared owners will have the option to increase this share gradually over time, eventually up to full ownership if applicable.
Bromford Shared Ownership widens access to the housing market for many, as deposits are a percentage of the owned share rather than the full market value.
Surpriya Ray, Managing Director at Vistry Cotswolds, said: “We're proud to be working with Bromford to deliver the next phase of excellent homes at Elgar Park.
“Demand for affordable housing that doesn't compromise on quality, location and sustainability will always be high in this sought-after area of the UK, and to be collaborating with a leading housing association like Bromford to achieve this is a privilege.”
Karen Adams, Sales Manager at Bromford, said: “Elgar Park is incredibly well-positioned, and through previous phases we've helped a diverse range of buyers secure a high-quality home in that sweet spot between rural tranquillity and traditional urban convenience.
“Worcester is a charming city steeped in history and culture, while nearby green spaces mean dog walks and family days out are on the development's doorstep.
“We're looking forward to welcoming future residents to Elgar Park and showcasing exactly why Lower Broadheath is the ideal location for that first step onto or next step up the property ladder.”
The area is well served by esteemed schools nearby, including the Honeywell Primary School and the Riversides School for older children, both of which achieved a rating of Good in their latest Ofsted reports.
