Award-winning housebuilder The Hill Group hosted a creative art workshop at Marleigh Park, inviting residents to transform everyday scraps into striking works of art. The resulting pieces will become part of the final installation of public art within the development. The session on 25 October was led by artist Matthew Sanderson, who has previously collaborated on artwork for the development, helping to shape and enhance the local environment.
The interactive workshop offered residents the chance to learn new artistic skills while connecting with neighbours in a fun and inspiring setting. With creativity at the heart of the event, attendees were encouraged to reimagine materials and explore how discarded items could be given a new lease of life.
Sculptor Matthew Sanderson comments: “This project is about bringing the local community together through art, with a strong focus on sustainability. By using scraps collected from the local environment, we can demonstrate how even discarded materials can be transformed into something beautiful with the right mindset and creativity. For me, it's about community, sustainability, and celebrating what can be achieved when people come together.”
Marleigh Park is a flagship development proudly delivered by Hill. Building strong, connected communities is a core priority for the business, and by organising activities that engage, inspire, and foster a strong sense of belonging, Hill ensures that Marleigh Park is more than just a place to live – it's a place people love to call home.
Rebecca Littler, Group Sales and Marketing Director at Hill, commented: “It was wonderful to see so many residents and families taking part in the creation of this final installation of artwork. At Hill, we are passionate about delivering more than just homes, we aim to create places where people feel proud to live and where friendships are fostered. Creating opportunities such as this workshop at Marleigh Park, helps the community to connect and become firmly established in this exciting new neighbourhood in Cambridge.”
The thriving community at Marleigh Park is set to begin an exciting new chapter as Hill launches the latest phase, Kingsley View. This stunning collection of 82 two, three, four, and five-bedroom homes enjoys a prime location adjacent to the popular and stylish Jubilee Central. Several homes benefit from enviable positions, overlooking the beautifully landscaped green spaces of Gregory Park, with selected homes offering exceptional views of the surrounding natural scenery.
Families will appreciate Kingsley View's park-side setting, ideal for outdoor play, nature walks, and spending time together in the fresh air. All residents can take advantage of the abundant green space, with leafy pathways winding through the development and expansive parkland spanning an area equivalent to around 44 football pitches.
Beyond the outstanding new homes, Marleigh Park offers a growing range of everyday conveniences and family-focused amenities. The community is already home to Marleigh Primary Academy and Monkey Puzzle children's nursery, along with a Co-op supermarket, R3FORM Pilates studio, and the much-loved Italian deli, Salento. At the heart of it all lies Jubilee Square, the vibrant hub where most amenities are centred. For even more choice, the shops, restaurants, and leisure attractions of Cambridge city centre are just a 15-minute cycle ride away.
