Lendlease is accelerating the delivery of more than 2,300 new homes across Melbourne's Docklands, with major projects underway at Victoria Harbour and Melbourne Quarter as demand for well-located housing continues to surge.
Construction is ramping up at Victoria Harbour, where Collins Street meets the water, with more than 1,100 homes underway across two on-market residential developments – Ancora and Regatta – alongside a new build-to-rent tower at 899 Collins Street.
Bordered by the harbour, Yarra River and Harbour Esplanade, this city-side precinct will become an exciting new neighbourhood just a tram stop away from the CBD.
Sales at Regatta and Ancora residences at Collins Wharf have been strong, with 77 per cent of homes now sold across both buildings. To meet ongoing demand, Lendlease is fast-tracking the next building, Aluna, which will add more than 400 homes, bringing the total homes under delivery and in market at Victoria Harbour to more than 1,500. Aluna is now taking registrations and expressions of interest (EOIs).
Construction is also powering ahead at the 899 Collins Street build-to-rent project, which will expand the precinct's residential offering with a diverse housing mix for owner occupiers and those looking for secure rentals with great amenities.
Together with Lendlease's new build-to-rent development nearing completion, located in the Melbourne Quarter precinct opposite Southern Cross Station, this brings the total number of new homes in delivery in the area to c. 2,300, making a significant contribution to Victoria's housing supply needs.
The completion of these residential buildings, expected from late this year, will coincide with the delivery of major new public spaces. These include Bourke Dock, a community meeting space featuring public art designed by acclaimed First Nations artist Reko Rennie, and a new park along the Collins Street extension as part of the City of Melbourne's Greenline vision.
