Pupils at a Newark primary school have sent their Christmas lists to Father Christmas after Platform Home Ownership donated a Christmas post box to Christ Church C of E.
The housing association supplied the post box, along with a selection box for all 208 pupils, as part of its commitment to giving back to its communities.
This donation follows the supply of luminous, reflective bag tags for all pupils last month, and is the fourth instance of Platform gifting to Christ Church C of E this year.
Christ Church C of E Primary School was purpose-built for the new community, where Platform is delivering a range of affordable homes in partnership with five-star housebuilder Miller Homes.
The housing association will continue to support local enterprises during and beyond the lifecycle of its Lockview development, where a selection of high-quality, affordable homes are currently available.
Lee Harrison, headteacher at Christ Church C of E Primary School, said: “This was a really thoughtful donation from Platform Home Ownership which has furthered our pupils' Christmas spirit.
“Throughout 2025, Platform has become a consistent source of support for our staff and our pupils, with an ice cream van on the last day of term, summer gardening equipment, and road safety bag tags – it's been great to know they have our best interests at heart.”
Debra Taylor, Sales Consultant at Platform, said: “To supply all pupils with a selection box and a space to send their letters to Santa was incredibly rewarding – we're so pleased to have supported Christ Church C of E so much this year.
“The Christmas spirit is truly here and we couldn't be prouder of the work we have done for Christ Church C of E which will continue into the new year.”
The homes at Lockview have been designed and built with modern living in mind, with space, versatility and contemporary fittings and fixings all playing a key part.
A variety of two- and three-bedroom homes are available through Shared Ownership, where buyers pay for a share of their home's value and pay rent on the remaining amount.
Lockview is part of Middlebeck, a new settlement which has attracted a number of new residents due to the appeal of its location, with Platform proud to be contributing an abundance of new homes towards the ever-growing community.
