Platform Home Ownership Supports Nottingham Women's Centre With Donation

Platform Home Ownership

Platform Home Ownership has donated £350 to the Nottingham Women's Centre, contributing towards its vital work empowering women across the city and beyond.

The leading housing association bolstered the centre's support for women in the region, and its continuous advocacy for women's rights and policies that support women nationwide.

Lorraine Jenkins of Platform visited the all-women team at Nottingham Women's Centre to make the donation, tour the centre and learn more about the support it provides.

Established in 1971, Nottingham Women's Centre offers a safe and welcoming environment for women from all backgrounds, providing advice, advocacy and support on issues such as housing, employment, wellbeing and domestic abuse.

The centre also runs community events, workshops and programmes aimed at promoting equality and helping women achieve independence and confidence.

Emily Gill-Howe, Senior Fundraising Officer at Nottingham Women's Centre, said: “We're grateful to Platform Home Ownership for their generous donation and for taking the time to visit the centre.

“Every contribution helps us to continue our vital work supporting women in Nottingham through counselling, community activities and advocacy.

“This donation will go directly towards our low-cost, in-house counselling services.

“It means a great deal to have local organisations like Platform stand alongside us as we work to create a city where all women feel empowered and supported.”

Lorraine Jenkins, Sales Consultant at Platform Home Ownership said: “It was a privilege to visit Nottingham Women's Centre and see first-hand the incredible impact it has on so many women's lives.

“It was clear to see the extent of support, confidence and community the team provides to make such a difference every day.

“At Platform, we're passionate about supporting organisations that strengthen local communities, and Nottingham Women's Centre is a perfect example of that. It was an honour to make this contribution and to learn more about the invaluable work being done there.”

Platform's donation forms part of its wider commitment to giving back to the communities where it operates, supporting local initiatives that make a lasting, positive difference.
