KidsOut is a charity dedicated to supporting some of the UK's most disadvantaged children by providing toys, books, day trips and positive experiences. Each year, the charity helps bring joy to more than 20,000 children, many of whom may otherwise receive no gifts at Christmas.
The Giving Tree invites organisations to purchase Christmas gifts for children living in refuge or facing hardship. Each participating team receives Giving Tree tags, with every tag representing a child and the present they wish for.
Allison Homes Group, East and Central teams collected their gifts under the Christmas tree at the Peterborough head office, where colleagues gathered gifts ready for KidsOut to distribute.
Allison Homes East Midlands colleagues donated their gifts under the tree at the Castle Donington head office, contributing gifts for children supported by the charity.
This marks the second year that the housebuilder has supported the initiative, continuing its commitment to helping bring some festive cheer to children and families who may be facing a difficult Christmas.
Adam Knight, Managing Director at Allison Homes Central, said: “It has been wonderful to see so many colleagues come together again this Christmas to support The Giving Tree. The generosity shown across our teams reflects the compassion and community spirit that sit at the heart of Allison Homes. Every gift donated will help brighten a child's Christmas, and we are incredibly proud to play a small part in that.”
Karl Edwards, Managing Director at Allison Homes East Midlands, said: “The Giving Tree is a cause our East Midlands team embraces with real enthusiasm. It is inspiring to see colleagues choose gifts with such care, knowing they will make a meaningful difference to a child this Christmas. We are grateful to everyone who contributed and helped spread some kindness at a time when it matters most.”
