Zoopla Acquires Leading New Homes Portal newhomesforsale.co.uk. Acquisition Accelerates Strategy to Deliver Stronger Sales Performance, Conversion and ROI for UK Homebuilders

Zoopla

Zoopla today announced the acquisition of 100% of the issued share capital of newhomesforsale.co.uk, a leading UK new-homes-only property portal. The acquisition strengthens Zoopla's position in the new homes market and enhances its ability to deliver high-quality buyer leads, stronger conversion rates and improved sales performance for home builders.

Founded in 1998, newhomesforsale.co.uk has become the UK's largest specialist new homes portal with more than 200 developer customers, including nine of the top ten national homebuilders. The platform currently supports 2,500 active developments and connects over one million buyers with new homes available to buy, generating approximately 170,000 qualified leads annually for home builders and demonstrating consistently strong returns on marketing investment.

The UK new homes sector represents a large and resilient addressable market, with homebuilders delivering over 180,000 new homes annually and deploying significant marketing investment to convert buyer demand into reservations and sales completions. Digital channels are a growing proportion of marketing spend for new homes as home builders focus on higher-intent audiences, data-led targeting and measurable sales outcomes.

The acquisition is complementary to and builds on the momentum of Zoopla's new homes offering. Zoopla has recently signed strategic partnerships with major developers including Taylor Wimpey and Persimmon Homes, underpinned by product innovations that delivered a 53% increase in the volume of new home leads for home builders versus the prior year at market leading conversion rates.

Zoopla has invested in its new homes platform to support home builders in growing reservations and sales. This includes enhancements to its new homes search experience, improved visibility of new developments, affordability tools, and new AI-powered capabilities in campaign optimisation and audience matching. These innovations help reduce customer acquisition cost, identify higher-intent buyers earlier, and support more efficient reservation pipelines for home builders.

Following completion, newhomesforsale.co.uk will continue to operate as a standalone brand and website with its existing leadership team, retaining its specialist focus and ensuring continuity for its customers and home buyers while benefiting from Zoopla's proprietary audience data and AI-driven product investment.

Paul Whitehead, CEO of Zoopla, commented:

“We're delighted to welcome the team at newhomesforsale.co.uk to Zoopla. They have built a respected and highly specialised business that consistently delivers high-intent leads, strong conversion rates and strong ROI for home builders.

“Combined with Zoopla's proprietary audiences and AI-driven product innovation, we are well positioned to deliver a stronger and more efficient new homes marketing proposition for developers of all sizes.

“This acquisition is a natural next step in our strategy. Our recent partnerships with Taylor Wimpey and Persimmon demonstrate the progress we have made and the value we deliver. The addition of newhomesforsale.co.uk will strengthen our offer and deepen our relationships with home builders across the UK.”

Mark Hincks, Director of newhomesforsale.co.uk, added:

“Our focus has always been to connect developers with high-intent buyers and deliver a clear return on marketing investment. Joining Zoopla unlocks audience data, insights and innovation that will allow us to deliver even more value for our customers. Together, we can accelerate growth and support home builders with stronger sales pipelines and better commercial outcomes.”
