Leading developer Lovell Homes is inviting property seekers to attend a new homes event at its Augustus Grange development in Haverfordwest on Saturday 28th February, with a focus on supporting key workers and buyers exploring Shared Ownership.
Augustus Grange, located off St David's Road, is a mixed-tenure development delivered in partnership with Codi, providing a total of 115 two and three-bedroom homes, just six miles from the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
During the event, homebuyers will be able to tour the showhomes, find out more about the available homes and learn how Lovell Homes' key worker discount can help make purchasing a new home more achievable. Attendees can also receive free mortgage advice, tailored to their individual circumstances, from an independent mortgage adviser from ABP Mortgages.
The developer's key worker discount provides eligible buyers with a saving of £500 for every £25,000 spent on a new Lovell home, and is available to those working in sectors including the NHS, education, armed forces, emergency services and local authorities*. The saving can be used towards a deposit, moving costs or furnishing the new home, subject to availability and terms.
Shared Ownership is also available at Augustus Grange, allowing buyers to purchase a minimum 50 per cent share of their chosen Lovell home and 50% rent with Codi on the remaining share, offering a more accessible route to home ownership with a smaller deposit and mortgage.
The scheme has already helped a wide range of buyers secure a home at the development, including 80-year-old Barbara Thomas, who downsized into a low-maintenance Shared Ownership home.
Barbara said: “I wanted a home that was all new so I wouldn't need to worry about DIY, so we had a look around the Augustus Grange showhome and loved it.
I wasn't aware of Shared Ownership previously, so Lovell Homes explained to me how the scheme worked and what I could buy. The scheme was brilliant for me, as it's meant that I could put some money down whilst still having some spare.”
Suzie Hewitt, regional sales director at Lovell Homes, said: “We know that affordability and flexibility are key considerations for many buyers, which is why this event at Augustus Grange is all about showing people the options available to them, from Shared Ownership to key worker support.
“At our event, we are also giving homebuyers access to clear, independent mortgage advice so they can explore their next move with confidence. We're looking forward to welcoming people to site on Saturday 28th and helping them find their perfect home.”
Haverfordwest is a historic market town offering a range of shops, amenities and transport links, set along the Western Cleddau river. Residents at Augustus Grange benefit from both town living and close proximity to Pembrokeshire's coastline, making it an attractive location for a wide range of buyers.
