Developed in-house by the Baufritz team and made at our factory in Erkheim, Germany, HOIZ uses wood shavings sourced from nearby sawmills and is treated with natural soda to provide protection against fire, fungi and pests - without relying on chemicals.HOIZ is installed in all Baufritz roofs, walls and ceilings as thermal and sound insulation.As part of our wider approach to responsible building, we are now also working towards Cradle to Cradle certification in the Circularity category and expect to complete the process in spring 2026.
