A family, including a new mother and baby, recently settled in at Barratt Homes' brand-new development The Skylarks in Hipperholme, after outgrowing their previous house.

Maddy Wainwright (23), along with her mum Carole (55) and brother Sam (25), made the exciting move to the development after the birth of Maddy's son, Miller.

Maddy and her family knew they would need more space, so decided to find their perfect new home together. With help from Carole, Maddy purchased the large four bedroom Kite style property, the perfect home for growing families.

When asked about her new home, Maddy said: “We started looking at new houses from the moment I knew I was expecting a baby, and when we came across The Skylarks, we knew it was where we wanted to be. The village centre is five minutes away which is really handy to walk round with the pram to pick up essentials.

“Our previous home was over 20 years old and was at the point where it would have started to cost a lot to redecorate and carry out repairs. Our new home was a blank canvas that we could put our own stamp on from the start. With a new baby, I wanted the peace of mind that comes with a new build, especially with the warranties they include.

“We moved into our new home in November and baby Miller came into the world less than three weeks later. It was so lovely to be able to bring him home to our brand-new home and we had just enough time to set up his nursery beforehand.

“We used the Part Exchange scheme which gave us extra peace of mind, knowing we could reserve our new home straight away without needing to sell first.”
