DevComms is bolstering its East division with two new appointments and a promotion, as the stakeholder engagement consultancy capitalises on growing demand from clients across the built environment sector.

Joining the Cambridge-based team are senior account director Rupuk Vekaria and senior account executive Max Abdulgani.

Rupuk has seven years' experience in the built environment sector, working across a range of projects including education, residential and leisure developments. With a strong understanding of the planning process, he brings a balanced and pragmatic approach to stakeholder engagement and a track record of building positive relationships between developers and local communities.

Max has a background in planning and the built environment, having worked on a variety of projects across multiple firms. Passionate about housing and development, he offers sharp insights and strong political acumen. He also brings experience working across politics and policy, alongside senior politicians and leading think tanks.

Leah Tompkins' promotion to Senior Account Director recognises her loyalty, dedication and the strong client relationships she has built across the East division, covering Essex, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.

The East division works with clients including Croudace Homes, Taylor Wimpey, Vistry Group, David Lloyd, Bellway Homes and Redrow Homes, spanning residential, industrial, renewable energy and infrastructure sectors.

The moves come as DevComms continues to expand its presence across the UK, building on its reputation for delivering effective stakeholder engagement for some of the country's leading developers.
