An award-winning housebuilder has opened the doors to two new show homes in Stocksbridge, offering house hunters an insight into the latest interior design trends.
David Wilson Homes is encouraging property seekers to explore the four bedroom Hertford and Kirkdale style show homes at its Hollins Park View development, both of which have been expertly designed and styled by Edward Thomas Interiors.
Andy Richardson, Director at Edward Thomas Interiors, said: “The Hertford townhouse was designed for modern family living, with personalised interiors to appeal to all family members. The design takes cues from a luxury hotel aesthetic, pairing a neutral palette with black and charcoal detailing to create a modern monochrome.
“Light woods and fabrics are layered alongside geometric print wallpaper, fabrics and shelving to bring brightness, depth and texture to the entertaining spaces in the kitchen and living room.
“The first floor bedrooms offer stylish sanctuaries for parents and guests. In the main bedroom, we painted a thin band where the wall meets the ceiling to make a visual statement and add a modern twist on Regency detailing. The guest bedroom has a bespoke, lozenge shaped headboard for an eye-catching feature, as well as a dressing table that could double-up as a home office station.
“On the Hertford's top floor, one bedroom has a delicate Dachshund design with a beautiful soft pink base, striped wallpaper and bobbin lampshades. The other has been colour drenched in a classic camping green to reference the outdoor lifestyle homeowners at Hollins Park View can enjoy. A tented detail over the bed ensures adventure awaits young residents!”
Hollins Park View offers a collection of high-quality two, three and four bedroom homes, thoughtfully designed to suit a wide range of buyers and lifestyles.
Andy continued: “In the Kirkdale, a bold palette of navy blue, brick red and charcoal establish a sense of drama while botanical patterned wallpapers and floral detailing reference the hills and reservoirs that surround Hollins Park View. For a fresh twist on classic country styling, we incorporated fluted and panelled furniture in the living room and bedrooms as well as metro tiling in the kitchen.
“The two teenage bedrooms are not to be missed. One of the rooms celebrates all things floral with two vibrant, hand-painted wildflower murals, daisy cushions, dried flowers and tissue paper flower heads. The other has a preppy, Ralph Lauren style with various sports equipment as decoration, including a vintage leather football to subtly reference the nearby pitch.”
Alongside local football and cricket facilities, Hollins Park View boasts easy access to the Peak District and the River Don, offering a scenic backdrop for activities such as walking and cycling.
Sam Wood, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes Yorkshire West, said: “We wanted the show homes at Hollins Park View to provide real inspiration for buyers, from the colour palettes and materials chosen to the clever layout ideas. The interior styling brings each space to life and helps prospective buyers picture how they could make the home their own.”
Hollins Park View is a short drive from Deepcar, where residents can enjoy traditional pubs, as well as the shops, eateries and leisure facilities at Fox Valley shopping centre.
