Cambridgeshire Homebuilder Makes Eggs-Tra Special Donation to Local Hospital

Barratt and David Wilson Homes

Leading homebuilder Barratt and David Wilson Homes has donated a selection of Easter eggs to Doddington Hospital.

The developer, which is building a range of homes close by at Chatteris Gate, donated the Easter treats to spread some cheer and to say thank you for the vital work the hospital does caring for the local community.

Ahead of the Easter period, staff from Barratt and David Wilson Homes delivered over 30 chocolate eggs to Doddington Hospital, meaning every District nurse at the hospital received one.

Hazel Denman, Area Nurse Manager at Doddington Hospital, said: “I would like to thank Barratt and David Wilson Homes for thinking of us for this special donation. The community nursing team enjoyed their treats during a particularly busy time of year, and we are very grateful for the support.”

Simon Francis, Managing Director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Northampton, said: “It was a pleasure to donate the Easter eggs to Doddington Hospital. As well as building new homes for the community, we have a strong belief in supporting the areas in which we build and strengthening our relationship with local charities and organisations.

“The hospital plays such a vital role for the people of Cambridgeshire, and we hope the eggs will go a small way in bringing a smile to everyone who received one.”

Barratt Homes at Chatteris Gate currently has a selection of three and four bedroom homes for sale, and David Wilson Homes' Chatteris Gate development has a range of four and five bedroom homes, perfectly suited to many buyers.

Chatteris Gate offers peaceful surroundings in the countryside with plenty of parks and nature reserves a short distance away. Residents can also enjoy a range of amenities in the historic town centre such as independent restaurants, pubs, shops and supermarkets including an Aldi.

For qualifying key workers like NHS staff, Barratt and David Wilson Homes offers its Key Worker Deposit Contribution Scheme for homebuyers at the development. Under the scheme, for every £20,000 spent on the purchase price of a Barratt Homes or David Wilson Homes property, a £1,000 contribution towards the deposit will be made. For example, an eligible homebuyers would qualify for a contribution of £22,500 for a home costing £450,000.
