THE HASSOCKS UNDER 14s football team recently kicked off the new season sporting a brand new strip donated by Barratt Southern Counties, which currently has a development of new homes on the edge of Hassocks village.

The first fixture, played on the home ground, was a tough one against the Worthing Dynamos, new entrants to the league. The visitors took the lead in the first half, but the Hassocks fought back and equalised shortly after the break. However, two surprise goals scored by the Dynamos in the dying minutes of the match led to a 4 - 2 win for the away team. Despite the result, the Hassocks were pleased with their teamwork and will take many positive aspects of the game forward in future matches.
