EMBARGOED UNTIL 6.00am Tuesday 28th October 2014.
X1 MEDIA CITY, the largest residential development in the North West with 1,036 apartments and over 22,700sqft of commercial space, will be launched this month by Salford based property investment company- Knight Knox International, in a joint-venture scheme with X1 Developments.
Transforming the Salford Quays skyline, these four iconic towers will be comprised of a mix of studios, 1, 2 and 3 bed apartments. The first and second floor space will be available for commercial and retail units, in addition to a private gym and cinema, meaning residents will never be short of entertainment. X1 MEDIA CITY has already been granted planning permission by Salford City Council and Vermont CL are expected to start construction from as early as February 2015.
Once complete, the apartments will be finished to a luxurious standard typically associated with boutique hotels. With breath-taking city-wide views, in addition to two levels of underground parking, the facilities, as well as scale, of X1 MEDIA CITY are simply unparalleled in the North West.
The £200million development is located in the heart of phase two of MediaCityUK, Europe's first purpose-built business hub and home of the BBC and ITV television studios. The area is thriving thanks to more than £1.4billion worth of public and private investment in the Quays, ensuring it is a bustling centre for like-minded professionals.
Having already successfully launched previous X1 projects in the area, including X1 Salford Quays Phases 1, 2 and 3, Knight Knox International has been preparing this launch with much anticipation, so says Samantha Jones, Head of Marketing at the property investment firm.
“The launch of X1 MEDIA CITY is something we have been planning for many months”, says Jones. “Investor appetite has grown in line with confidence in the UK buy-to-let market, and we have seen heightened interest in the local market over the past 18 months. Since launching our first joint venture with X1 Developments back in 2012, we have sold out eight sites and demand for X1 projects is extremely high, mainly due to the quality of the build and the professionalism of the lettings and management team. X1 MEDIA CITY is certain to become an iconic development for Salford Quays and will rival anything located in the city centre”.
Residents of X1 MEDIA CITY will discover that the area is far from self-contained: MediaCityUK has numerous tram stops directly linked to Manchester city centre and Manchester airport, however, the area also prides itself on its sustainability and green spaces; contemporary architecture; and premium physical and digital infrastructure, making it like no other in the region.
X1 MEDIA CITY is being created in an already flourishing area that shows no signs of slowing down. This is an era of devolution. There are more residential, commercial and infrastructure projects starting in Salford and Manchester than ever before, with thousands of jobs and opportunities being created, encouraging people to move to the North. X1 MEDIA CITY is a lucrative investment for those looking to the future, rather than just relying on traditional, poor yielding investments in the capital.
