The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) in Victoria has been judged the nation’s best infrastructure project at Infrastructure Partnerships Australia’s National Infrastructure Awards.

IPA Chairman, Mark Birrell said "The New RCH was judged the best new project in Australia because of its design excellence, engineering quality and its scale. The $1 billion new RCH was one of the largest projects completed last year and is an excellent example of a successful Public Private Partnership. The project was delivered on time and on budget, and includes a wide range of design innovations that make this project the benchmark for paediatric care."

For NDY Health Director Keith Davis, it’s through design innovations enabling a focus on patient outcomes that have made the RCH project a world-class facility.

“NDY is proud to have been an active collaborator in the design team for RCH. At a personal level, this represents the lifetime culmination of my healthcare project involvement for which I feel enormously privileged. The intangible rewards range from seeing children and their families revelling in the world class facilities provided, the enthusiastic and positive feedback provided by RCH staff, through to the quantum leap in personal growth experienced by the members of our RCH team.”
