A communications agency in Staffordshire has celebrated its re-brand and move to a new home with a welcome party for clients and friends.
8848 Communications Ltd moved to Aspley Farm in Slade Heath earlier this year as part of a rebrand which brought together Connect PR and Seal Communications.
The agency threw a welcome party inviting clients and friends along to take a look at its new home. Aspley Farm was built in 1507 but has been renovated to house the 25-strong team of marketing and PR professionals.
Managing director Hazel Crawford said: “It was a wonderful evening and a great way to celebrate our move. We spent a long time looking for new premises and fell in love with the farmhouse which provides a great environment in which to work. Taking on a place that was built in the 16th Century is no easy task but it has become a distinctive home for 8848.
“2016 is turning into a momentous year for us, and we were delighted that everyone was able to join our celebration.”
Guests were entertained by the Bluebird Belles, a 1940s vintage vocal harmony trio, as guests were invited to test their skills in garden games – The Bootiful Game and The Game of Throws.
Private chef Simon Smith served canapes and traditional ice creams from Florence were served by Polly's Parlour, from a vintage pink and brown striped VW camper.
The name 8848 is inspired by the highest point of Mount Everest, which for many, successfully scaling the world's highest peak is the ultimate challenge.
The business, which turns over £2 million and employs 25 people, counts Britain's biggest housebuilder, Persimmon Homes, as a client, and also boasts a growing portfolio of leading brands including MAN Truck & Bus UK, The West Brom, The Cube, Volkswagen and Autoglym.
