The Property Council (SA Division) will tomorrow launch the Second Edition of its Mainstreets Best Practice Guide to international delegates attending the Future of Places Conference, Property Council members and the broader community.
The Second Edition of Mainstreets a Best Practice Guide is a culmination of local industry expertise that empowers communities to realise the potential of their mainstreets.
The Best Practice Guide adds another tool to the toolkit for realising city and inner metropolitan vibrancy,” says Property Council Executive Director Richard Angove.
“It is a step-by-step guide for local governments, state governments, retailers, property owners, planners, designers and community groups that spells out strategies for keeping our mainstreets' active and competitive.
Covering six sections, from strategic planning to techniques for engaging with social media and the digital economy this Guide is a manual that draws on national and international best practice examples to inspire and enliven our mainstreets.
“Economic growth and jobs creation has been a hot topic in the lead up to the State Election and this Guide provides a useful roadmap to ensuring mainstreets economies continue to thrive.
“This Guide creates a dialogue that bridges traditional divides to better realise tangible opportunities for vibrancy in our mainstreets,” Richard Angove said.
