Internationally renowned luxury retirement village operator, LifeCare Residences (LCR), has made three significant appointments as it continues to establish itself as a leading operator in the UK's burgeoning retirement living market.
Gary Heather has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of all LCR's UK retirement villages and care homes, whilst at LCR's retirement villages Jordan Pereira has joined Battersea Place in London as Head of Care, and at Somerleigh Court in Dorset, Angela Roberts joins the team as Sales Manager.
LCR has been leading the way within the UK's luxury retirement sector since 2006, with a pioneering concept designed to enrich lives of retirees by offering purpose-built accommodation alongside outstanding care, unrivalled hospitality and facilities that are of five-star hotel quality - at a fixed rate for life.
Meeting the fast-growing demand for retirement accommodation, LCR currently has three sites in the UK. These are Battersea Place and the Albert Suites in London, Grove Place retirement village in Hampshire and Somerleigh Court retirement village and nursing home in Dorset.
As LCR's new COO, Gary Heather brings a wealth of experience with particular strength in talent acquisition, people development and human resources.
Gary Heather, Chief Operating Officer comments: “I am delighted to have joined LCR to assist the business in reaching its strategic goals and to further enhance our reputation as an employer of choice. I look forward to forming close partnerships internally to enhance our service levels and develop our most important asset – our people.”
Nigel Sibley, Chief Executive added: “Gary's appointment is further evidence of our commitment to maintain industry leading standards within our current village and care offerings, as well as our future capacity for growth in London.”
As new Head of Care at Battersea Place which opened in 2016, Jordan Pereira will be responsible for the clinical operations of the Albert Suites and the Domiciliary Care services within the village. Jordan was previously at one of the largest UK independent health care providers, Four Seasons Health Care, and prior to this had considerable experience within the NHS.
Jordan Pereira, Head of Care said: “I am thrilled to be joining an internationally established organisation and look forward to developing internal and external partnerships to grow our clinical services, as well as having a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of the residents.”
As new Sales Manager at Somerleigh Court, Angela Roberts will be responsible for increasing sales whilst providing a friendly and professional service at what can be a 'challenging time' in people's lives. She brings over 25 years' experience in sales and customer relations starting her career in Travel and Tourism overseas.
